Who are we?
TACA Virtual Airlines is a passion project that started on the year 2023. The idea behind TACA VA is to bring back to life the beloved airline that once ruled in Central America for your enjoyment on a flight simulator.
Along with IVAO XS and vAMSYS as main partners, we are able to bring you the experience of flying real life scheduled flights from every Grupo TACA airline. A lot of research has been done to provide the most authentic experience possible while including wide variety of airplane models flown by those airlines through the decades.
From flying small turboprops to widebody airliners, TACA VA and the Americas are yours to enjoy.

What is Grupo TACA?
Grupo TACA was a powerful alliance of Central American airlines headquartered in San Salvador, El Salvador. TACA purchased controlling stakes in regional carriers to form Grupo TACA. Grupo TACA included TACA International Airlines, Aviateca (Guatemala), Nica (Nicaragua), Lacsa (Costa Rica), and other regional affiliates showcased below.
TACA INTERNATIONAL (TAI)
TACA International is the main airline of Grupo TACA, founded in 1931 in Honduras. The airline later moved to El Salvador and became the largest airline in Central America with hub in MSLP.

AVIATECA (GUG)
Founded in 1929, Aviateca is Guatemala's flag carrier airline with hub in Guatemala City's La Aurora Intl. Airport. They became part of Grupo TACA in the 1990s.

NICARAGUENSE DE AVIACION - NICA (NIS)
Formerly named Aeronica, Nicaraguense de Aviación NICA was reorganized in 1994 by Grupo TACA. The airline operated from Manuagua's MNMG airport. Their fleet consisted on two Boeing B737-200 (N501NG, N239TA).

ISLEÑA (ISV)
Isleña de Inversiones S.A. was a Honduran domestic airline with hub on San Pedro Sula's La Mesa (MHLM) airport. It was founded in 1981and later became part of Grupo TACA under the brand TACA Regional.

AEROPERLAS REGIONAL (APP)
Aerolineas Islas de Las Perlas (AEROPERLAS) was a Panamanian domestic regional airline based on Panama's city MPMG airport. It was founded in 1970 and by 1991 it was affiliated with Grupo TACA operating under the TACA regional brand.

TACA PERU (TPU)
TACA Peru was TACA's division for Peru. The airline operated from Lima's SPJC airport.

LACSA (LRC)
Lacsa is the flag carrier airline of Costa Rica with hub on San Jose's MROC airport. The airline was founded in 1945 and became part of Grupo TACA in the 1990s.

SANSA (LRS)
Sansa is a Costarican domestic regional airline created by LACSA in 1978. They flew under the brand of TACA Regional from San Jose's MROC airport flying a fleet of multiple Cessna C208B/EXs Grand Caravan.

LA COSTEÑA (COS)
La Costeña is a Nicaraguan domestic airline founded in 1991, it was later acquired by Grupo TACA and operated under the TACA Regional brand. They operate out on Managua's MNMG airport with ATR 42-300 and Cessna C208B.

TACA CARGO | JHM CARGO (JHM)
JHM Cargo was a cargo airline from Costa Rica that was founded in 1997. JHM Cargo operated under the TACA Cargo brand with five Airbus A300F.
